Ramee Grand Hotel and Spa will be the group's first five-star hotel
The Ramee Group of Hotels will open its first five-star property in Q3, 2012 in Seef, Bahrain.
The group said in a statement released today (April 29) that the 166-key, 28-storey Ramee Grand Hotel and Spa would be Bahrain’s tallest hotel, standing at 115m tall, including three basements.
The hotel features seven F&B outlets, 800sq m of ballroom and meetings space, a designated floor for spa and recreation including a fitness centre, a ladies’ salon and a temperature-controlled infinity pool.
Chairman and managing worker VM Shetty commented: “Our presence in the UAE, Oman and India simplifies our job in attracting family tourists as well as MICE travellers to Bahrain.
“Our great success and presence in the kingdom, places us at an advantage with regards to our competitors. The kingdom’s strategic location as a midway point between Europe and Asia gives us the advantage of procuring the two powerhouses of the Asian market; India and China, huge exporters of business and leisure travellers, he added.
The group currently operates 37 properties in the budget segment across the UAE, Bahrain, India and Oman.
“The next Ramee Grand Hotel & Spa is on the drawing board for Dubai’s much sought-after Business Bay district, together with another project in Abu Dhabi’s Reem Island,” the group revealed in the statement.
BAHRAIN is about to get its very own Chinatown, it has emerged.
Construction of the multimillion-dinar Dragon City will start soon and the 46,000sqm first phase will be operational by the third quarter of 2014, China Middle East Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (Chinamex) chairman Hao Feng revealed yesterday.
The project, boasting Chinese style architecture and buildings coupled with a strong Bahraini influence, is being developed by Diyar Al Muharraq at its project off the coast of Muharraq.
"This will be similar to a very large shopping centre where hundreds of Chinese companies will do business and showcase their products," Mr Hao told the GDN.
"This will attract not only people from Bahrain, but also from Saudi Arabia, and will be an opportunity for Chinese companies to promote themselves throughout the region."
He said the concept of the Dragon City had been drawn up jointly by Chinamex and Diyar Al Muharraq, but the total cost of the development has not been announced.
"We are now ready to go ahead with this development, which will be a striking new project for Bahrain," added Mr Hao.
Diyar Al Muharraq chairman Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat said the project would make a significant contribution to the development of Bahrain's economic and cultural sectors.
"The Dragon City project, a large-scale trade platform with functions of product exhibition, retail and wholesale, with Chinese architectural and cultural aspects, will be marketed and managed by Chinamex," he said.
"Target groups will include Chinese enterprises and businessmen who seek to sell their products and services in Bahrain, local citizens and international visitors."
He said the agreement was another step forward for bilateral co-operation between Bahrain and China, which would enhance economic and cultural exchange.
"We have so far been successful in attracting foreign investment and capital to Bahrain, which has created more job opportunities and contributed to the welfare and security of Bahrain's society," he added.
Mr Alkhayyat said the Dragon City would not only increase foreign investment, but could attract more than half a million visitors a year.
"The creation of a large number and variety of jobs is inevitable with the quality of service, infrastructural and other exceptional features, which will distinguish this from any other development."
He said Chinamex was already established in the region and had experience in promotion, management and operation of similar projects, especially the Dragon Mart in Dubai and the Chinese City in Mexico.
Diyar Al Muharraq chief executive Aaref Hejres said Dragon City was just one of several investment projects due to be launched.
"We are confident that investors and the nation will be pleased to see what is in store," he added.

كشفت شركة ديار محرق عن إنشاء وتشغيل أول مدينة صينية في البحرين تعمل على تنمية القطاع الاقتصادي والثقافي مع الجمهورية الشعبية الصينية، عبر اتفاقية عقدتها مع شركة جاينا مكس الشرق الأوسط للاستثمار والتجارة، والشركات التابعة لها على إنشاء وتشغيل المدينة. وأوضح رئيس مجلس إدارة الشركة عبد الحكيم الخياط أن “الاتفاقية اشتملت على إنشاء سوق، ومدينة صينية تحتوي على عدد من الأسواق المتخصصة بمساحة إيجار تقدر بنحو 32000 متر مربع، وعلى مساحة إجمالية بنحو 46000 متر مربع يمكن زيادتهما حسب الطلب، كما تنص الاتفاقية على إمكانية رفع الرقعة التأجيرية إلى 64000 متر مربع، ويضم مجمع الصين مركزاً للتراث بتصميم يذكر بأجواء العالم الصيني القديم، وسوق دولية مفتوحة تقام على مساحة ما يقرب من 102000 متر مربع تقع ضمن منطقة جنوب غرب ديار المحرق. وذكر الخياط، عقب لقائه وفداً من كبار المستثمرين الصينيين برئاسة رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة جاينا مكس هاو فنغ، وبحضور الرئيس التنفيذي لديار المحرق عارف هجرس، أن الطرفين اتفقا على أن “يتم تسويق وإدارة المدينة الصينية تجارياً من جاينا مكس التي بدورها ستقوم باستقطاب أكثر من 300 شركة صينية منتجة لجميع أنواع السلع العالمية، وسيفتح المجمع بوابة مباشرة لجميع المستهلكين المحليين والخليجيين للمنتجات الصينية، وقد قام الطرفان بحضور عدد من المسؤولين بالمملكة بتوقيع الاتفاقية بين الشركتين”. من جانبه، أكد الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة ديار المحرق عارف هجرس أن “الشركة تمتلك إمكانات فنية تتمتع بكفاءة وقدرة عالية وقادرة على إيجاد شركاء يسعون معنا ونسعى معهم لابتكار فرص استثمار تبعث الثقة في نفوس الآخرين”. وبدوره، أعرب رئيس شركة جاينا مكس الشرق الأوسط للاستثمار والتجارة الصينية هاو فنغ عن سعادته بتوقيع الاتفاقية، مشيداً بمكانة ديار المحرق وموقعها وموقفها المنافس على صعيد توفير فرص استثمار جيدة، منوهاً إلي طريقة التعامل الحرفية التي ساعدت على إتمام الاتفاقية بكفاءة، وتمنى تواصل الجهود الحثيثة لإكمال ما تم الاتفاق عليه وإنجازه بالوقت المقرر والجودة المناسبة. وتعد الاتفاقية خطوة إضافية في التعاون الثنائي المشترك بين البحرين والصين من خلال القطاع الخاص وتطوير علاقاتهما الاقتصادية والثقافية، بما يخدم مستقبل اقتصاد البلدين، ويعكس توقيع الاتفاقية نشاط ديار المحرق في جلب الاستثمارات الأجنبية، ورؤوس الأموال للمساهمة في دعم الاقتصاد الوطني، وتوفير المزيد من فرص العمل وتؤكد الاستثمارات الصينية في ديار المحرق إمكانية استكشاف مزيد من فرص الاستثمار في البحرين.
أعلنت شركة "ديار المحرق" الشركة الوطنية للتطوير العمراني والإسكان الحضري، اتفاقها مع شركة جاينا مكس:الشرق الأوسط للاستثمار والتجارة Chinamex Middle East Investment Trade Promotion Centre FZCO والشركات التابعة لها على إنشاء وتشغيل أول مدينة صينية في مملكة البحرين تعمل على تنمية القطاع الاقتصادي و الثقافي مع الجمهورية الشعبية الصينية، حيث استقبل السيد عبد الحكيم الخياط رئيس مجلس الإدارة و السيد عارف هجرس الرئيس التنفيذي للشركة وكبار المسئولين في الشركات التابعة لها وفدا من كبار المستثمرين الصينيين برئاسة السيد هاو فنغ رئيس مجلس ادارة شركة جاينا مكس حيث اجتمع الطرفان في مقر بيت التمويل الكويتي البحرين في المنامة في شركة ديار المحرق عدة مرات واتفقا على إقامة مدينة صينية في ديار المحرق، على أن يتم تسويق و إدارة المدينة الصينية تجاريا من قبل جاينا مكس التي بدورها ستقوم باستقطاب أكثر من ٣٠٠ شركة صينية منتجة لجميع أنواع السلع، وسيفتح هذا المجمع بوابة مباشرة لجميع المستهلكين المحليين والخليجيين للمنتجات الصينية و قد قام الطرفان بحضور عدد من المسئولين و البرلمان في المملكة في حفل توقيع الإتفاقية بين شركة ديار المحرق وشركة جاينا مكس .

Diyar Al Muharraq has signed an agreement with the China Middle East Investment and Trade Promotion Center (Chinamex) to develop a multi-million dollar complex named ‘Dragon City’ at its a massive $3.2bn reclaimed land development located off the coast of Bahrain at Al Muharraq.
Abdul Hakim Al Khayyat, Chairman of Diyar Al Muharraq and Aaref Hejres, CEO met with a delegation of senior Chinese investors led by Hao Feng, Chairman of Chinamex on Sunday to sign an agreement to establish the first 46,000m2 phase of the project.
“The Dragon City project, a large-scale trade platform with functions of product exhibition, retail and wholesale, with Chinese architectural and cultural aspects, will be marketed and managed by Chinamex,” said Abdul Hakim Al Khayyat, Chairman of Diyar Al Muharraq, to 24x7 news.
The project is due to become operational in September 2014. It will host 100 Chinese companies and businesses and is being developed at a cost which is yet to be announced.

Diyar Al Muharraq announced an agreement with the China Middle East Investment and Trade Promotion Center FZCO (Chinamex), and its subsidiaries for the establishment and operation of the first Chinese city development in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Through this project, Diyar Al Muharraq will make a significant contribution to the development of Bahrain's economic and cultural sectors. Mr. Abdul Hakim Al Khayyat, Chairman of Diyar Al Muharraq, Mr. Aaref Hejres, CEO and senior officials of Diyar Al Muharraq and its affiliates met a delegation of senior Chinese investors led by Mr. Hao Feng, Chairman of Chinamex to sign an agreement to establish the Dragon City in the new and developing district of Muharraq. The initial meeting was held at the headquarters of Kuwait Finance House in Manama on April 19, 2012, and this will be followed shortly by an official signing ceremony on May 13, 2012 at the Diyar Al Muharraq site.
Under this Agreement the Dragon City project will be marketed and managed by Chinamex. Dragon City will be a large-scale trade platform with functions of product exhibition, retail and wholesale, with Chinese architectural and cultural aspects. Target groups will include Chinese enterprises and businessmen who seek to sell their products and services in Bahrain, local citizens and international visitors.
This agreement comes as a concrete step forward in the establishment of bilateral cooperation between Bahrain and China and marks a significant push towards solidifying an economic and cultural exchange that will benefit the future of both countries.
Diyar Al Muharraq has been successful till now in attracting foreign investment and capital galvanizing the economy and creating more job opportunities, contributing to the welfare and security of Bahrain's society. Dragon City will further increase foreign investment and is expected to attract more than half a million visitors a year. The creation of a vast number and variety of jobs is inevitable with the quality of service, infrastructural and other exceptional features, which distinguish this from any other development.
Chinamex is already well established in the region, and has long experience and outstanding capabilities in the promotion, management and operation of similar projects especially seen in ventures such as the Dragon Mart in Dubai and the Chinese City in Mexico.
Mr. Abdul Hakim Al Khayyat, Chairman of Diyar Al Muharraq was pleased to receive the Chinese delegation and expressed his joy at the celebratory atmosphere that prevailed. "This agreement is the crowning moment that has followed discussions and detailed exchange of views and ideas between our company and the senior delegation of Chinese investors led by Mr. Hao Feng, Chairman of Chinamex. The proposed Dragon City is envisaged as a Chinese themed retail shopping mall with a total leasable area of approximately 32,000 square meters and a built up area of approximately 46,000 square meters. Construction on the project is expected to begin in September 2014, across a property of 102,000 square meters on the South West area of the masterplan. This area will be beautifully landscaped with ample greenery and water features and will include amenities such as car parks and other services providing a complete and holistic experience for visitors. Roadways and walkways will increase access to all projects. The Dragon City project will greatly supplement quality of life for residents, adding an international flavour. Coffee shops and restaurants and all retail and commercial enterprises will follow the Chinese theme.
The project's benefits to the national economy will be manifold. It is expected to attract more than half a million visitors a year. It will galvanize the property development industry setting new standards and practices, but perhaps the most significant contribution will be towards the employment market with the creation of a vast number and variety of jobs, as well as infrastructural and other requirements. Dragon City will be amongst the first developments in the Diyar Al Muharraq masterplan and will be followed by many more exciting and varied projects. The plan that will be followed is one of development and growth for the common good, keeping in mind Bahrain's Vision 2030.

مستبعد الافتتاح يكون بهالتاريخ بالعكس المشروع ضخم وعباره عن سوق كامل مو مجمع تجاري على مساحه كبيره وراح يشمل متحف ومعرض ثقافي كبير . و راح يتم بنائه بهالتاريخ ، جزيرة ديار المحرق ضخمه وتعتبر من اكبر الجزر الصناعيه عالميا ، والمشروع بينبنى في نهاية الجزيره ، فمحتاجين يجهزون البنيه التحتيه والطرق للمشروع وهذا لوحده محتاج سنتين على الاقل لبناء بنيه تحتيه ممتازه مثل الي موجوده بخليج البحرين

هههه انت الي شكلك ماتقرى عدل ، لحد الان ما انبنى اي بيت بالديار ، وروح شوف مركزهم الاعلامي بموقعهم الرسمي حاطين اخر الاخبار والصور .
بخصوص الدراقون ستي ، من غير المنطقي انه ينبني الحين بدون البنيه التحتيه والطرق الرئيسيه للجزيره ، اعمال البناء بتبتدي في سبتمبر 2014 هذا الي مذكور بالاخبار
