This recap is late. Sorry! But unlike last Friday night, which I spent in the emergency room getting x-rays for my knee, tonight I spent out with my friends at a movie. Which was actually extremely uncomfortable because my bloody knee still hurts like crazy. Anyways, I went to see the new Wolverine movie. Meh. It was ok. I've never been a huge fan of any of the X-Men movies. I'm more of a Batman / Iron Man girl, but if you want to see a jacked-up Hugh Jackman (haha, jack.....) then go see it.
I called my grandfather to get his take on tonight's episode on my way home from the movie. According to him, Christina Scofield is a super-bitch. In fact, she's such a bitch, she's a bigger bitch than The Bitch (Gretchen). Now that he's said the word "bitch" to me after not even uttering it in my presence for 28 years, he can't stop saying it. Cousin Joe is MIA. I suspect he's somewhere hiding new Baby Cousin Justin from me. The kid isn't even 3 weeks old yet and Joe and I are already fighting over which one of us loves him more. Justin is soooooo cute......
Now onto Prison Break. Previously on Prison Break, Christina was a bitch. Which goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. We open in Linc's hotel room, where Sandinsky is begging to be let go. He keeps denying that he knows Christina and then Linc gets a call from Michael. Michael's doing a science experiment in some abandoned warehouse (is there any other kind?). Michael tells Linc that Christina and Sandinsky are in cahoots, but he hasn't uncovered their plan yet. He asks what Linc's going to with Sandinsky and Linc suggests that he (Michael) leaves town. Linc gets all up in Sandinsky's face and asks where Scylla is.
Michael puts some powder into a baggy while Sara wishes him luck (and kisses him for about the fifth time ever on this show).
Michael calls Christina and she tells him that Sandinsky is an old friend. She wants a meeting, but he doesn't want to meet without getting his hands on Scylla. Christina's goon, Downey, was tracking down Michael while his mom was on the phone with him and they're off to the old industrial park to get him.
Back at the hotel, Linc's getting only mildly violent on Sandinsky's ass. Mahone wants to know why he's here, but Sandinsky keeps saying he's just here for a conference. Self and T-Bag think Michael is lying to them and Pad Man bursts in just before Linc can shoot Sandinsky.
Seems Pad Man knows Sandinsky. Pad Man announces that he's taking charge now and he wants Sandinsky's help in finding Scylla and Christina. Apparently Sandinsky has been a company operative for the last 21 years and he says that Christina invited him to Miami. Pad Man is very upset that Linc and the others have been lying about Christina and there's a lot of guns pointed at people's heads. Sandinsky reveals Christina's hotel room and Pad Man gives Linc and the others one day to retrieve Scylla.
Mahone is not pleased that T-Bag turned traitor (but seriously, is anyone surprised?). Mahone, Linc and Self go off to find Christina.
Christina and Downey arrive at the warehouse, along with two other goons. The goons fan out, looking for Michael. Meanwhile, Michael puts his little science project into the vents of Christina's car. Alright, so I'm guessing he's going to drug them and then kidnap his mom. Michael drives off, very loudly, and Christina and her goons jump into their car, which sets Michael's plan in motion very nicely.
Almost immediately everyone starts coughing. Michael punches one goon and then dumps his mother in the trunk of her car. Oh, Christina. He's YOUR son. You really should have realized that he was a freaking genius and would have tried something like this.
Christina wakes up, duck-taped to a chair, with Michael sitting calmly across from her. He asks where Scylla is and says she should tell him, otherwise he'll kill her. She plays the "I'm your mother" card very early on in this conversation, which is ridiculous. Lady, you LEFT him. When he was, like, 7 years old. She greets Sara by name and says that Linc has led Michael down a dark path. Christina suggests they work together on making sure that the Company doesn't get Scylla.
Christina says she and Michael are very alike and that's why he'll never be able to manipulate her like he does everyone else. I love that statement. Obviously we've seen Michael manipulate situations before to his advantage, but has he always done so consciously? Or for evil purposes? Or is just something he does? This puzzles me.
Mahone, Self and Linc break into Christina's hotel room, but it's empty. Mahone bitches that they're always one step behind. Linc finds a car rental receipt and Self finds an envelope with the initials DMB on it.
Back at Linc's hotel room, Pad Man is questioning Sandinsky about the conference he's supposed to speak at. Sandinsky is getting worked over by Company goons in a big way and starts talking. Christ, couldn't Linc have just beat the crap out of him and gotten the same information?
Pad Man admits that Christina came to him a year ago with a deal: she wanted to use the Scylla technology to make a profit. If they could create some havoc in countries around the world, then those countries would pay big money to buy the technology featured on Scylla. Pad Man thinks Christina is all pissy because she wasn't allowed to hold a Scylla card, but Sandinsky think it's more than that. Sandinsky says he wants to see something different happen with the Company. Linc calls and tells Pad Man to ask Sandinsky what DMB means. Apparently, it means that Christina's "place" is on the same block as Dade-Miami bank.
Michael and Sara are now in a separate room at the condo. Sara suggests that she talk to Christina, since Michael is too involved. Sara goes to Christina, who says she's sorry they had to meet this way and Sara's all "I'm sorry we had to meet at all". Yeah! You go girl! Give your future mother-in-law some lip. Christina says she knows Michael better than Sara does and then correctly guesses that Sara is pregnant. Sara says that Christina can stop trying to justify what she did and Christina correctly guesses that Michael doesn't know about the baby.
Sara goes out to greet Michael and says that she didn't get anything from Christina. She's obviously worried Christina will spill the beans. So what? Tell Michael. What's the worst that can happen? He'd just get all over-protective and stick her someplace safe. How would that be bad?
Self, Mahone and Linc enter Dade-Miami bank. Self tries to get access to one of the security boxes. One of the tellers reveals that the security box in question was just accessed and someone took a briefcase from it. The boys run outside and notice that one of the guys from the Indian embassy has the briefcase. Oh, it's Downey. Meanwhile, the Indian guy (Naveen) calls Downey to say that if he doesn't get to talk to Christina before 5:00, the deal is off.
Michael cuts the tape holding his mother to the chair. Yeah, this will end well. He gives his final offer: she takes him to Scylla and he'll let her go. Christina says that Michael and Lincoln are very different as Sara listens by the door. Christina says that Michael has always known.....that Lincoln isn't Michael's brother.
So what? So they're not related by blood. What difference does that make? They grew up as brothers. They love each other. DNA doesn't make a difference. If Michael responds in any other way, I'm going to be pissed.
Christina admits that she should have told Michael before. She says that Lincoln was adopted by Aldo Burrows when he was 3 years old. Apparently Linc's parents were Company operatives who died in an explosion and Christina very much resented Aldo's decision to bring Lincoln into their family. God, you are one cold-hearted bitch, aren't you, Christina? You're going to resent some poor 3 year old kid with dead parents? She says she never bonded with Linc, but she clearly favored Michael.
Michael shouts that Christina doesn't understand why he went to prison for Lincoln, but she's angry that he pissed his life away. Michael insists that Lincoln really is his brother. He stayed when Christina left. Linc kept him off the streets and put him through school. Christina spills that Linc is getting himself into a lot of trouble right now and Michael wants to know where he is.
Michael calls Lincoln as he, Self and Mahone continue to chase Downey. Linc doesn't answer Michael's call and Michael again asks Christina where Lincoln is. Michael throws Christina to the floor and drags her to the bathroom. He drapes her over the tub and turns on the water, threatening to kill her. Sara....tries to stop him? She keeps shouting his name. Why? Let him do it. She's a bitch. My grandfather was totally right about Christina.
Christina eventually tells Michael that Linc is heading to an energy conference and he turns off the water. He leaves the bathroom and Sara shuts the door. Sara tells him to go find Lincoln and Michael leaves a gun in case Christina gives her any trouble. In the bathroom, Christina is trying to find something to free herself with. It looks like she has low-latent inhibition, just like Michael does.
Back at the hotel, Pad Man praises T-Bag's devious, trickster ways. He talks about T-Bag becoming a Company operative, but he'll probably just kill him when he outlives his usefulness. Pad Man says that T-Bag has one more test to pass: when Linc returns Scylla, T-Bag will have to kill him.
Christina calls Sara into the bathroom. We see that she's rigged the doorknob with some string or a curtin puller or something. Sara points a gun at her while Christina says again that Sara should tell Michael about the baby. Sara says something about how she doesn't ever want to be the kind of mother that Christina is. Christina suggests that Sara stay out of the bars....and off the smack. Sara snarks back that he's on hospital-grade morphine, and Christina and her smack can suck on that. When Sara slams the door shut, the little door stopper comes off the wall.
T-Bag provides Pad Man with a list of the speakers and special guests for the energy conference. Pad Man recognizes Naveen Banerjee, which is the son of the Indian Prime Minister and the same man that Christina was going to sell Scylla to.
Michael is frantically trying to get in touch with Linc and he drives to the conference. Downey arrives at the conference and Linc, Self and Mahone aren't far behind. All of the boys start chasing Downey.
Christina uses the door stopper to cut off the tape binding her hands and then grabs the gun from Sara, who enters the bathroom to see what's going on. Wow. Little baby Scofield really has a smart mother, doesn't he? Sheesh. She just walked right into that trap.
There's still more running (after Downey).....always running. Mahone stops them and they see the silver rental van and Mahone smells something fishy. Downey calls Christina, who still has Sara at gunpoint. Downey makes his way inside the hotel as Christina brings Sara to her knees. Instead of shooting her, Christina says "maybe I can meet my grandson one day". Am I supposed to like her now just because she spared Sara and the baby?
Michael arrives at the conference and Christina quickly pulls up in a taxi. She calls Naveen and lies about where Sandinsky is. Naveen wants to amend his offer since he didn't get a chance to meet with Sandinsky. Christina accepts as Naveen takes his place at the head table.
Mahone notices that the silver van is running and he finds the other half of the rental car receipt in the glove compartment. Apparently the van was rented in Linc's name and Self, Mahone and Linc's passports are in the van. So, it's a set-up. I would have been more worried that the damn thing was rigged to explode. Meanwhile, Linc makes his way inside the conference.
Back at the hotel, a news story about the energy conference is playing on TV. We seen that Naveen is set to be the keynote speaker. Sandinsky says that Pad Man is done and Pad Man orders T-Bag to kill Sandinsky. T-Bag shoots him without hesitation. Ah, he's baaaaack!
Michael slips right by a security guard and makes it into the conference too. Naveen takes the podium as Downey walks into a room and Lincoln is close behind. Oh, then a goon dressed as hotel staff shoots Banerjee and drops a bullet casing....which is probably covered in Linc's fingerprints, since he was touching bullets in Christina's hotel room. Why set him up? He's already wanted for murder in Panama. It's not like the guy is going to get off AGAIN.
The goon runs off before Linc can catch him and Michael makes his way through the screaming crowd. He joins Linc up on the balcony and tells Linc that Christina set up the whole thing.
Downey meets up with Christina and tells her that the plan to set up Lincoln (and the other boys) was very successful. As the cops arrive at the hotel Lincoln and Michael bolt and the shell casing is left on the floor.
And so the brothers have been framed again. AGAIN. Really, writers? Really?
Alright, I'm not going to complain. Because no matter how ridiculous this show gets, it still has my undivided loyalty. That's just how I roll.
See you all back here next week. Let's hope my knee will have healed by then. And we agree with my grandfather, don't we? Christina is definitely a super-bitch.
By the way, what do you guys think of the fact that Lincoln was adopted? Do you think Christina was telling the truth? I knew what she was going to say because I read spoilers, but I still wonder if it's 100% true. Or maybe it is and it shouldn't matter.
